Hike for Hospice in Nose Creek Park May 6th, 2023. Opening Guests include Our Mayor, MLA and MP and music warm up exercises. Following the Hike there will be a simple BBQ available donations will be accepted for the BBQ. Free Coffee and Hot Chocolate will be available and water. The registration fee is $20.00 and all donations can be made on line or through a cheque or cash at the event.  Cheques are to be made out to Airdrie and District Hospice Society. 
On line donations are accepted until May 31st, 2023 through Zeffy.

Hike for Hospice 2023 Registration

ADHS 11th Hike for Hospice is on Saturday, May 6th registration starts at 8:30 and the Hike kicks off at 10:30 AM.  This will coincide with the start of National Hospice Palliative Care Week. You can be part of the Hike by joining us at Nose Creek Park for the Walk, Run, Roll and Stroll event followed by a BBQ and music.  Each May, supporters across Canada take part in the Hike for Hospice – a fundraiser that enables compassionate care funding to be provided to those facing the end of life. ADHS supports making it possible for individuals to stay in their homes and communities with their families as long as possible. The Society has advocated for the past Twelve years for at-home palliative care as well as hospice beds in Airdrie.  We encourage you to bring your loved ones, pets (on a leash)and children to this family friendly event. Walk 1 KM or 5 Km Walk, Run, Roll or Stroll.        “The past few years has been tough on everyone. We just want people to have some fun again with our in-person Hike for Hospice,” in the park said President Lise Blanchette. “We're very grateful to all those who support us, whether that is joining the Hike as an individual or team or simply helping us to spread the word.”    The monies raised by this event will support the Airdrie and District Hospice Society to continue to provide our Companions for patients so that those caring for them, typically their immediate family members, can have a break. ADHS also has a Compassionate Care Fund to cover some expenses affected families may incur. Donations mean that we can offer our services and programs at no cost.
