Triple P - Stepping Stone Booklet Series - A Guide to Social Skills (January 22, 2025)

Event closed

This discussion group will be offered virtually.

This workshop provides parents of children with developmental disabilities with ideas for creating short, structured teaching sessions that offer plenty of opportunities to learn new skills.

Skills like looking at someone when they say their name, maintaining eye contact, imitating simple movements and following simple instructions are among the most important skills for children to learn.

These kinds of early learning skills can be taught and extended through natural, everyday interactions with children. However, for some children with developmental disabilities, early learning may be more effective through structured and direct approaches.
