WhatJoin us for the Effective Altruism Canada community retreat/unconference!  We are inviting very highly involved community members and organizers to a smaller, one-day unconference-style retreat. It will be held on Monday, August 19, immediately after EAGxToronto. We’d love to have you present as an attendee and a collaborator, sharing your experiences and ideas with other very highly engaged community members!  Why Intellectual engagement! An opportunity to socialize, debrief, share insights, network and decompress, plan and process the energy from EAGxToronto. An opportunity to share thoughts, food and time with the most highly engaged community members. All participants are encouraged to contribute some content to the retreat, whether a three-minute lightning talk or a multi-hour-long workshop. Anyone who wants to initiate a discussion on a topic can claim a time and a space. Some unconference sessions (for example at FooCamp or BarCamp) are led by the participant who suggested its topic; other unconference sessions are basically open discussions of the session topic.”<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference</a> What can I propose a session on?You’ll have very broad discretion. The goals of the unconference is to help increase connections within the most highly engaged community members, as well as to share knowledge, and debrief following EAGxToronto, form plans, find contributors, but also to let our hair down and have fun.  Please keep things safe for work. However, if you’d like to offer or suggest a session on thumb-war techniques, kombucha brewing or the moral standing of post-human shrimp, you are welcome to do so.
