Time to tear out the old and call this project complete! We&#39;re heading to Balancing Rock Trail on Sunday, October 4 to remove the old boardwalk and pile it up for a fall burn. 📍 Meet: Balancing Rock Trailhead at 9:00 am 🚗 Access: Via the hydro road off the road to the CVWMA officeWe&#39;d love a couple of side-by-sides or a 4x4 with good off-road tires to help move volunteers and gear up the trail &mdash; it&#39;ll save everyone a lot of time and energy. If that&#39;s you, please let us know!The work:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Removing staples from the grating so it can be salvaged for future use</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Cutting the boardwalk into manageable sections for moving to the burn site</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Piling everything up for a fall burn</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Note: we do not need to remove any logs used as stringers</li></ul>What to bring:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Heavy work gloves &mdash; essential</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Water and a packed lunch</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Rubber boots recommended &mdash; marshy ground underfoot</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Chainsaw operators: ear, eye, and leg protection required</li></ul>Tools needed:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Power saws &mdash; don&#39;t worry, we&#39;ll replace any chains damaged by nails or screws</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Staple removal tools and pry bars</li></ul>No experience needed &mdash; just show up ready to work. Many hands make light work and we always have a great time doing it.
