Dementia In-Service

As a PSW or CCW, you play an important role in supporting clients living with dementia. This In-Service begins with building a deeper understanding of dementia and the losses that occur as the brain changes over time. From there, you&rsquo;ll learn practical communication tools to manage responsive behaviours and ways to encourage meaningful activities that improve quality of life. The focus will be on client-centered care, showing how compassion and empathy can make a difference in meeting each person&rsquo;s unique needs.
