Neighbourhood Dance Works (NDW) is excited to bring back the Arts Patron's Pass for the <a href="https://www.neighbourhooddanceworks.com/fnd" target="_blank">Festival of New Dance 2025!</a> Are you a patron of the arts? Do you love to watch, support, and give back to the arts? If so, this pass is for you! The Festival of New Dance Arts Patron's Pass offers an exclusive experience for those who are passionate about the arts. With this pass, you'll enjoy access to all Festival of New Dance (FND) Mainstage performances and a variety of off-site events and installations. You'll also have the unique opportunity to engage with NDW's  Artistic Director, Julia Carr, in pre- and post-performance activities. Here's what's included: <ol><li>A ticket to all <a href="https://www.neighbourhooddanceworks.com/fnd" target="_blank">Festival of New Dance (FND)</a> Mainstage performances in St. John’s:</li></ol> Paratopias by Pratibha Arts/Bageshree Vaze is inspired by Bageshree Vaze's origin story of learning Indian classical dance in St. John's, NL, Paratopias imagines alternate realities in dancemaking. They will be joined by  Big Steppers NL as curtain raiser with their performance Whispers of Elements.  ⏰ SEP 25 | 7:30pm | LSPU HALL Fourfold Mixed Program is a mixed bill that brings together a bold range of choreographic visions—from jazz-driven physicality to poetic solo performance, street-informed inquiry, and seasonal embodiment rooted in place. Featuring works by by TUFF (Toronto), Sara Porter Productions (Toronto), Hilary Knee (Corner Brook), and Rooted Dance Projects (Halifax).  ⏰ SEP 27 | 7:30pm | LSPU HALL CAMEO is a quarterly mixed program that champions movement-based work in all its forms. Launched in April 2024 and produced by Andrya Duff, the series has since featured over 19 local creators and 30 dancers across 16 genres.  ⏰ Sep 28 | 2:00pm | The Rooms Theatre Echoes and Embers, features an evening of ancestral echoes and radical presence. In this powerful double bill, two solo works by Ziyian Kwan from Odd meridian Arts and Firewater Thunderbird Rising by Christine Friday of Friday Creeations, move through memory, mentorship, and multidimensional realms of being.  ⏰ OCT 3 | 7:30pm | LSPU HALL An Evening of Odditease by Josh Murphy presents Gay Jesus and Scarlet Delirium with acts by Madame Daddy, Priscilla Dawn Under, Rameez Karim, Robyn Breen, and Vanessa Cardoso. Hosted by \garbagefile. Performers from NL and away, crossing disciplines of burlesque, drag, poetry, experimental dance, clown, and more  ⏰ Oct 4 | 9:30pm | The Majestic. Altération by Kira Arts addresses the transformations that punctuate our lives and our ability, as human beings, to influence both our own destiny and that of others.  ⏰ October 4 | 7:30pm | LSPU HALL 2.  Access to all Festival of New Dance (FND) off-site performance events, participatory immersive experiences, and workshops throughout the week, including: Shim Sham Shimmy workshop with Rooted Dance Projects and other dates with Lindy Hop on the Rock. No experience necessary — everyone is welcome! Whether you're brand new to jazz dance or a seasoned mover, this is all about connecting through shared rhythm and repetition. ⏰ Sep 24, 25 | 2:00pm - 3:30pm | ACC Open Foundations of Breaking workshop with TUFF will have TUFF’s Breaking crew sharing their knowledge around breaking.  ⏰ SEP 25 | 4:00pm - 5:00pm | ACC The Shim Sham Shimmy Flashmob Finale following a series of community workshops and surprise flashmob in unexpected locations around the city, we’re culminating the celebration with one final, showstopping Shim Sham Shimmy at The Rooms!  ⏰ September 26 | 5:15pm | The Rooms Shim Sham Circle Conversation with Rooted Dance Projects and Lindy Hop on the Rock, sharing personal reflections and historical context on Lindy Hop, the Frankie Manning Shim Sham, and other jazz dance traditions. ⏰Sep 26 | 5:30pm - 6:15pm | The Rooms Cypher presented in collaboration with Rhythm Village (St. John’s), TUFF (Toronto), and The Rooms, is an open-format cypher that invites dancers, movers, and curious bodies into an evening of shared rhythm and spontaneous exchange   ⏰ Sep 26 | 6:30pm - 8:30pm | The Rooms Zombiegrams Workshop with Neighbourhood Dance Works is a fun, all-levels workshop that will kick off the 15th annual Zombiegrams.  ⏰ SEP 27 | 1:30pm - 2:30pm | ACC TADA! How to talk and dance at the same time workshop lead by Sara Porter is a dynamic workshop of personal and professional exploration that incorporates movement improvisation, creative writing, vocal work and clown presence. ⏰ Sep 28 | 4:15pm - 6:45pm | ACC Line Dancing Workshop with Jenn Edwards is a fun beginner-friendly line dancing class where you’ll learn a handful of basic line dances step-by-step, and then have plenty of time to practice and mingle to a lively country-inspired soundtrack.  ⏰ Sep 28 | 6:15pm - 7:15pm | ACC Bombastic Burlesque and Drag Costuming workshop with Scarlet Delirium. In this workshop you will learn from professional Costumer and Burlesque Artist Scarlet Delirium and about the theory of bombastic costumes. ⏰Oct 4 | 2:00pm - 3:30pm | LSPU Mino Bamadzawin (the good life) workshop with Christine Friday will have participants engaged in a deeper understanding of their own unique story through our movement, visual arts &amp; writing that connect to our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being while connecting to our gifts and purpose through Anishinaabe lens. ⏰Oct 4 | 12:00pm - 2:00pm | ACC African Rhythms and Melodies in Action – A Bodily Experience Workshop by Kira Arts will have you join Aly Keita in exercises for singing, dancing, and physical coordination to develop rhythmic awareness, encouraging participants to feel and express rhythm and melodies through their bodies. ⏰Oct 4 | 4:30pm - 6:00pm | ACC Dance Commute guided by Vanessa Cardoso-Whelan,Tendai Mudunge, Jenn Edwards, Melissa Williams, and Robyn Breen. Every 30 minutes dance your way to and from the LSPU Hall and The Rooms. Following a short in situ creation residency, Cirque’letics brings vertical dance to the architectural marvel of The Rooms.  ⏰ Oct 5 | 2pm, 3pm &amp; 4pm | The Rooms “Mug-Up” Area <hr />and<ol><li>Exclusive Engagements: Meet and discuss your love for dance and the province of Newfoundland &amp; Labrador with NDW's Artistic Director, Julia Carr, during pre- and post-performance ancillary activities.</li><li>Transferable Tickets: Can't make it to a show? Your Arts Patron's Pass ticket can be transferred to a friend or family member if you are unable to attend.</li><li>Support NDW: A portion of your pass goes directly to supporting dance initiatives and the arts practice within our province. </li></ol>Please note: The Arts Patron's Pass offers a comprehensive experience that includes both ticketed and unticketed events, making it more than just a ticket—it's an investment in the future of dance in Newfoundland and Labrador.
