This year, we're focusing our attention on under-recognized barriers to accessing care for eating disorders, such as poverty, the ongoing impacts of settler colonization, and navigating care experiences where people's identities and histories are not affirmed. By providing a "voice" to those with living and lived experience, we hope to cultivate a community of hope and change and dismantle the discrimination faced by people affected with eating disorders. How can I contribute to the program?We want to hear your story in the most authentic medium to you! In the past, performances have included dance, musicians, singers, and spoken word. Works can include paintings, sculpture and photography. Is Buddies in Bad Times Theatre physically accessible for persons with mobility devices?Buddies in Bad Times Theatre is wheelchair-accessible. Will there be refreshments provided during the event?An assorted mix of appetizers will be provided on a pay-what-you-can basis and all food will be labeled with major allergens. There will be a cash bar for attendees who wish to enjoy a drink. What are my transportation and parking options for getting to the event?Buddies in Bad Times is located at 12 Alexander Street in Toronto, Ontario near Wellesley and College station by the TTC. Parking is available through metered parking on Alexander Street along with a GreenP lot on Wellesley east of Yonge. I'd like to support NEDIC!
