This concert is presented in collaboration with the Vivier Interuniversitaire (ViU). Battements&nbsp;is an instrumental music concert that will take advantage of the beautiful acoustics of the Chapel of Saint-Louis. Bringing together pieces that delve into the very essence of sound, such as intonation and timbre, this instrumental concert will charm and intrigue. Rimes d&eacute;faites par le Sphinx is a project of songs in &quot;just intonation&quot; for two voices and two guitars in just intonation (according to the conception of Simon Martin). When we listen to sounds (the sounds of music, the sounds of life), we hear them through the prism of culture. How can we free our ears from the too familiar, letting ourselves be carried away by the charm of the unknown? Perhaps through songs (too familiar form!) sung in an unusual yet intoxicating temperament? Trac&eacute;, Fossile is inspired by the slow mineralization of organic matter. Through a gradual metamorphosis from fluid sounds to rough textures, this piece is designed as a summary of a fossilization process spanning several geological eras. Through the progressive increase in density and the gradual rarefaction of movement, both temporal and physical, Trac&eacute;, Fossile is a reflection, even a meditation, on the becoming of matter. Trac&eacute;, Fossile est inspir&eacute;e par la lente min&eacute;ralisation d&rsquo;une mati&egrave;re organique. Ce concert est présenté en collaboration avec le Vivier Interuniversitaire (ViU). Battements est un concert de musique instrumentale qui profitera de la magnifique acoustique de la Chapelle Saint-Louis. Regroupant des pièces qui se penchent sur la matière même du son, comme l’intonation et le timbre, ce concert instrumental saura charmer autant qu’intriguer. Tracé, Fossile est inspirée par la lente minéralisation d’une matière organique. Par une métamorphose graduelle depuis les sons fluides jusqu’aux textures rugueuses, cette pièce est conçue comme le résumé d’un procédé de fossilisation s’étendant sur plusieurs ères géologiques. À travers l’augmentation progressive de la densité et la raréfaction graduelle du mouvement, à la fois temporel et physique, Tracé, Fossile constitue une réflexion, voire une méditation, sur le devenir de la matière. Rimes défaites par le Sphinx est un projet de chansons en « intonation juste » pour deux voix et deux guitares à intonation juste (selon la conception de Simon Martin). Lorsque nous écoutons des sons (les sons de la musique, les sons de la vie), nous les entendons à travers le prisme de la culture. Comment libérer notre oreille du trop connu, en se laissant porter par le charme de l’inconnu? Peut-être par des chansons (forme trop connue!) chantées dans un tempérament inhabituel bien qu’enivrant? Home, pour guitare classique, électronique et voix, est une œuvre intimiste qui explore la vulnérabilité à travers la forme musicale et une conception sonore expérimentale inspirée de l’éducation musicale rock et pop du compositeur-interprète Emmanuel Lacopo. I Never Want To See That Day est une œuvre de chambre à grande échelle pour guitare électrique, électronique, cordes, saxophone ténor et batterie. Inspirée par Godspeed You! Black Emperor et Julius Eastman, elle construit des textures évolutives et des mélodies lyriques avec une guitare traitée en direct qui façonne l’ensemble.
