It is with very heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Canadian Chamber Choir’s upcoming concert in Kagawong. This morning, several of our singers tested positive for COVID-19. Given the likelihood of exposure among additional members in recent days, and after careful consideration and consultation with our board, collaborators, and Indigenous community leaders, we have decided that moving forward with the concert would not be in the best interest of your community's safety. As an ensemble, the Canadian Chamber Choir relies on close interactions such as homestays, shared meals, group travel, and community outreach—elements that make it impossible to ensure everyone’s well-being in the current situation.
