The Grade 12 Leadership Class of OSDSS is STOKED to be holding the first ever Walk to Talk in support of mental health awareness programs of CMHA Grey Bruce and EVERYONE is WELCOME!   "Mental health is a growing issue in our community and especially for youth so we are partnering with CMHA Grey Bruce to raise money for the youth mental health.  Please join us to show youth that they are being heard", Leadership Class student Ryleigh Cooper.  The walk will take place on Saturday May 6th from 10 am to 1pm at Harrison Park in Owen Sound  This 1st ever Walk to Talk will be in support of the mental health awareness programs of CMHA Grey Bruce, which are funded entirely by community support.  The mental health programs include the Friends and Neighbours (FAN) Club program, the Let's Talk program, the Talk Today program, community awareness presentations, information displays, as well as training programs such as Rainbows, Mental Health First Aid, SafeTalk (Suicide Alertness for Everyone) and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills training).   Agenda:  10am - Registration opens 10:30 am - Welcome and Introductions 10:45 am - walk begins 11:45-12:45 - BBQ Lunch, Awards, Door Prizes and Thank You's  This is a pet-friendly event.  Sponsors:  <ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Thank you to the Owen Sound Police Services for the use of their BBQ </li></ul>Donations for this event are being collected on a Zeffy platform, a non profit organization supporting non-profit organizations.  Using this platform means not only will you receive a charitable receipt for your donation but also that 100% of funds donated go directly to the charity with ZERO hold backs.    EVENT WAIVER:  In consideration of the acceptance of my application and the permission to participate as an entrant, competitor or volunteer in the Walk for Courage including the use of my photograph/picture for promotional purposes, I, for myself my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby release, waive and forever discharge CMHA Grey Bruce, OSDSS, all sponsors and contributors, and all other associations, sanctioning bodies and sponsoring companies, and all their respective agents, officials, servants, contractors, representatives, elected and appointed officials, successors and assigns of and from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action, whether in law or equity in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property however caused, arising or to arise by reason of my participation in the said event, whether as a spectator, participant, competitor, volunteer or otherwise, whether prior to, during or subsequent to the event, and notwithstanding that same may have been contributed to, or occasioned by, the negligence of any of the aforesaid.
