Blizzard for the Girls – 1K/5K Walk/Run Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Centennial Park in Trenton for Blizzard for the Girls, a meaningful 1K/5K Walk/Run honouring the lives of Rebecca Beatty and Anastasia Collins and all victims of impaired driving. October 3 marks five years since Rebecca and Anastasia, just 22 and 23 years old, tragically lost their lives after being struck by an impaired driver. Earlier that day, the girls had purchased Blizzards on their way home after spending the morning planning Anastasia’s upcoming wedding. They never had the chance to enjoy them. Blizzard for the Girls brings our community together to honour their memories, raise awareness about the devastating consequences of impaired driving, and remind everyone that these tragedies are preventable. Event Details: Saturday, October 3, 2026 Centennial Park, Couch Crescent, Trenton, Ontario 1K & 5K Walk/RunStart Time: 10:00 a.m. Registration: 9:30 a.m. Participants will come together for a morning of remembrance, community and hope. The event will include opportunities to honour victims of impaired driving, tie a MADD Canada red ribbon, and make a pledge to never drive impaired. All proceeds from the event will support the Children’s Safety Village of Belleville and its mission to provide hands-on safety education that prevents injuries, saves lives, and helps build a safer community. Walk with us. Run with us. Remember with us. Together, we can honour Rebecca and Anastasia and help prevent another family from experiencing a preventable tragedy.
