This silent auction offers something you won't find anywhere else: an original claw-foot bathtub, salvaged from the Community Resource Building (the teacherage in past days) in Gold Bridge, built in the 1930s. For nearly a century, this tub stood witness to the daily lives of the people who built and sustained our community through the mining era and beyond.

The tub shows its age honestly — it will need some refinishing to bring back its full shine — but it's structurally sound and ready for a new life, whether that's a striking centerpiece in a heritage-style bathroom, a one-of-a-kind planter, or a conversation-starting piece of functional art. Pieces like this simply aren't being made anymore, and once it's gone, it's gone.

Few people have had the opportunity to actually take a dip in one of these tubs, but we have been told that to do so is sublime.
