We invite our Indigenous staff members (and their children/family) to come together to build our community sweat &amp; healing/teaching lodge. To prepare for this work in a good way, we ask that no alcohol or mind-altering substances be used for at least three days prior, so we can come together with clear minds, respect, and intention. Women&nbsp;who are on their&nbsp;moon time (menstrual cycle)&nbsp;can join us for the day as a helper and to observe, but will not be able to participate in building the lodge or participate in the sweat ceremony at the end of the day.&nbsp;In many teachings,&nbsp;women on their moon time have a&nbsp;heightened strength and spiritual power, and stepping back from ceremony honors that energy. The Traditional Healing Program is partnering with Lisa Green from Six Nations to build a Community Teaching Lodge with Conductor Lindsay Lickers. This is a hands-on, culturally grounded experience where our Indigenous staff will learn as they build the lodge, guided by traditional teachings.
