In this hands-on workshop, students will create a unique, pierced pendant, or pair of drop earrings from brass, copper or sterling silver. Students will learn the use of a jeweller's saw, hand files, flex shaft, rotary tools and hand tools to materialize their sketches and designs. Transferring your designs on paper to pierced designs on metal, students should come to class with some potential design concepts. The first day of the workshop will focus on tool use, safety in the studio, developing hand skills and design development/layout. The second day of the workshop will focus on working on and finishing your custom jewellery design.
