Choirs for Change is proud to present A Safe Place to Land, a joint concert experience with Polaris and Astra. The programme tells a story of journeys undertaken and new places found, told through a blend of cultures with histories of displacement. We&#39;re exploring these stories through lots of lenses - by including a song centred on turletting - a traditional vocal technique from Acadian culture - partnered with a Middle Eastern folk song about welcoming friends to the kitchen table through a gesture of shared coffee. Halifax-based oud player Simon Achkar joins the ensembles. Choirs for Change is partnering with the Halifax Refugee Clinic for this concert, with a portion of ticket sales to be donated to further their excellent work providing legal representation for those claiming refugee status in Nova Scotia.&nbsp;
