Namaste everyone 🙏🏻We are writing to kindly inform and invite you all to the KHCS Annual General Meeting on December 22nd 2024, Sunday afternoon.Kindly note that it is a  MEMBER ONLY EVENT  for the paid members in good standing. Society is grateful for your ongoing support and requests your presence for this very important event.Details of the AGM are as following:Date and Time : December 22nd, 2024 from 12pm to 3pmPlace : Flavors of India,  626, Columbia Street West, Kamloops BCDelicious Complimentary Free Lunch will be served for 12pm to 1 pm followed by Agenda Agenda of the AGM:1. Welcome new members to the Society.2.Present and discuss the past year's activities and financials.3.Election / Selection of the New Executive Committee.4.Any other administrative or relevant topics about Kamloops Hindu Cultural Society as needed.Nomination / Election Process for New Committee:Anyone (only one member from a family) who is interested to serve in the Kamloops Hindu Cultural Society Executive Team for upcoming year 2025,  should reply to this email, (submit their nomination) with their full name and contact information along with the designation/position they are interested in, by no later than the end of  Dec. 20th Friday.No nominations will be accepted after this date and time.There will be a total of 9 positions for the executive team for the next year:1   President2. Vice President3. Secretary.4. Treasurer5. Plus 05 Directors positions.   --  Anyone who is interested to put their name in for positions for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer should be currently a paid member in good standing and also a paid and active member of society for at least Two or more years in the past years. Includes Lifetime Members). --  Anyone who is interested in putting their name for the positions of Executive Directors should be currently a paid member in good standing on the date of this email sent. ( which includes Lifetime Members too). --  The new Executive team will be elected / selected based on the number of nominations received for different positions, and the elections will be held if needed with all standard protocols, rules and norms, based on the number of nominations received for various positions by the deadline as mentioned above in email. --  For any position to serve in the executive committee a person has to be of Hindu / Sanatan Faith. After submitting the nomination if any one wants to withdraw their name for any reason then they can withdraw their names by Dec. 21, 2024 by emailing back mentioning their intention to withdraw their name. KHCS requests you to please spare some of your valuable time and plan to attend this AGM.
