You will be contacted if a spot opens up. (Leave your phone number is you can). Come join us for a full day of rocky shore exploration aimed for kids aged 6-11. Based out of Baxters Harbour Community Centre, we will be spending the majority of the day exploring the coast through the eyes of the critters that call the ocean home! Activities will include food chain jenga, a scavenger hunt, and a special &ldquo;turtle hospital&rdquo; activity in collaboration with April Nason from the Canadian Sea Turtle Network.&nbsp; Please note that we will be running this camp also in Harbourville on July 24 and Cheverie (August date tbd). These camps will be virtually the same.&nbsp; Linda Hutchinson completed her MSc in Biology at Acadia University in February 2026, and has been a board member with the BNS since October 2024. She has experience as a camp counsellor and has led multiple BNS kids programs, including guided hikes and workshops. Divinica LeBlanc&nbsp;loves to learn, explore, and dance in community on this beautiful land. She holds degrees in civil engineering, environmental science, and education, and she owns a coaching business which supports neuroqueer professionals to flourish as their authentic selves.&nbsp; Kate Sircom recently retired after 27 years as an elementary school teacher, with experience in Canada&#39;s north as well as the AVRCE. &nbsp;Kate has a keen interest in re-introducing children to the natural world. &nbsp; In addition to these three senior staff members, we will have 2 volunteers for our camp. Everybody over 18 has completed an RCMP Vulnerable Sectors check.
