Les épreuves sont identifiées (nommées et/ou numérotées) selon le type de tirage. A-t-on des épreuves identiques, des variantes, des œuvres uniques ou multiples ? S’agit-il d’un tirage ouvert ou fermé ? Comment ces choix sont-ils déterminés par les matrices et par l’intention de l’artiste ? Nous aborderons les nomenclatures prévues dans le Code d’éthique de l’estampe originale. Les participant·e·s sont invité·e·s, dans la mesure du possible, à apporter une série d’un travail complété afin de réaliser l’exercice. Nous verrons ensuite comment signer les estampes (dimensions des marges, type de crayon, inscriptions requises et emplacement de celles-ci).L’atelier abordera également la fiche d’identification d’une estampe, le suivi de chacune des épreuves, le dépôt légal à la BAnQ, la question du prix des œuvres ainsi que le contexte de diffusion.
