EVENT INFORMATION  1.1 The community yard sale &amp; market (hereafter "yard sale") will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Kinsmen Park (110 Parry Sound Drive, Parry Sound, Ontario).  1.2 The advertised time of the event is 8am to 1pm.   1.3 Setup may begin as early as 6:30am. Sellers must be ready to sell at 8am.  1.4 The event will be held rain or shine.  2. REGISTRATION  2.1 Registration guarantees a spot to sell at the community yard sale. Admission to the yard sale is free; registration is only for those who wish to SELL at the yard sale.   2.2 The registration fee is a $30 donation to Community Living Parry Sound (hereafter “CLPS”). Sellers will receive an official tax receipt. 2.3 The registration fee is non-refundable. 2.4 The registration fee is non-transferrable except by CLPS.   3. MATERIALS PROVIDED  3.1 The venue is provided.  3.2 Sellers’ spots will be on the covered rink.  3.3 Sellers will be given a 2.5m2 area to sell in. The spot is empty (i.e., no table or chairs provided; see “Materials Not Provided”).    3.4 Washrooms will be available.   4. MATERIALS NOT PROVIDED  4.1 Tables, chairs, and displays are not provided. Sellers may bring their own if they wish.  4.2 Cash/float will not be provided.    4.3 Debit/credit point-of-sale terminals will not be provided.  4.4 Signage for individual sellers will not be provided.  4.5 Electrical outlets and Wi-fi may not be available.   5. ALLOWED ITEMS  5.1 Sellers may sell gently used items, homemade crafts, and plants. 5.2 Local and/or small businesses are permitted to sell retail items. CLPS reserves the right to approve or deny retail pop-ups. 5.3 Used items must be in good enough condition for re-sale.  6. PROHIBITED ITEMS  6.1 Sellers may NOT sell food items and/or drinks.  6.2 Sellers may NOT sell anything that is illegal for them to sell. This includes illegal items (e.g., illicit drugs) and items for which sales are regulated (e.g., firearms, fireworks, tobacco).  6.3 Sellers may NOT sell weapons. Household knives may be sold but must be in butcher’s blocks or protective cases.     6.4 Sellers may NOT sell anything that is provocative, obscene, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate, offensive, or objectionable. CLPS will determine whether items meet the standards of respect. Items that do not meet these standards must be removed from the sale.   7. FINANCES  7.1 CLPS will not handle sellers’ finances.   7.2 Sellers are allowed to accept any payment methods they are equipped to accept.   7.3 Sellers are entitled to keep all money raised from the sale of their items.  8. SELLERS' RESPONSIBILITIES  8.1 Sellers are responsible for the setup and takedown of their spots. No items, garbage, messes, nor damages may be left behind. 8.2 Sellers may not involve CLPS in any part of their transactions, including the sale, transport, holding, delivery, or disposal of their items.   8.3 Sellers are responsible for their own finances (see “Finances”). 8.4 Sellers are encouraged to promote the yard sale.   9. INDEMNITY  9.1 CLPS is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, money, or equipment. 9.2 CLPS is not party to transactions made between seller and buyer and is not responsible for any outcomes resulting from said transactions. 9.3 CLPS is not responsible for the condition of the venue. As this is an outdoor event, there may be messes (e.g., bird droppings) that CLPS has no control over.
