Et si plusieurs connaissent le travail du sculpteur, très peu connaissent sa vie, son parcours. En effet, qui se souvient de ces différentes échoppes dans Sainte-Adèle? De la maison qu’il habita plus de 15 ans sur la route 11 à Mont-Rolland? De ses expositions nationales et internationales? De ses œuvres surdimensionnées qui ont peuplés la région dans les années 50 et 60, Totems et orignaux faisant la fierté des commerces les possédants?         Grâce au traitement d’archives manuscrites, photos et audios, ainsi qu’à la collecte directe et indirecte de témoignage, le folkloriste et conteur Félix Benfort est allé à la rencontre de ce sculpteur qui aurait eu 130 ans le 9 octobre 2024. Ce qu’il y a découvert l’a tout simplement renversé.
