Her current work, KŌIWI, commissioned by the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Precarious Movements: Choreography and the Museum, gave form to a ‘protector’ entity and continues to travel internationally.Hunt collaborates trans-culturally with artists, filmmakers and cultural knowledge holders across Aotearoa, Australia and Turtle Island. She is co-founder of Weather Beings, a transnational collective with 2Spirit Métis artist Moe Clark (Tio’tia:ke / Montreal). Moe was born and raised in Treaty 7, and they are a proud member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Moe resides as a guest in Tio'tiá:ke/ Mooniyang/ Montréal (QC), and works as an artist, ceremonial helper, and educator. A dedicated nêhiyawêwin (Plains Cree language) and Michif language learner, Moe collaborates intimately with Elders and knowledge keepers to advance language resurgence through song-based practices.
