Aging Together As Community and The Arts Council ~ Haliburton Highlands are excited to invite you to attend our interactive workshops, Creative Connections.&nbsp;They will be held on Friday, August 14, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, at the West Guilford Recreation Centre.&nbsp;A free lunch is provided, catered by McKecks.&nbsp;All are welcome, 12 years or older. Our hope is that the workshops will inspire you and offer you the opportunity to watch talented artists in action, try something new and connect with others through the joy of creativity.&nbsp;Attendees can choose, first come ~ first served, a 50 minute workshop, in the morning and also in the afternoon. Each artist will offer an introduction and demonstration of their specific art and then you will be able to practice, with guidance, the technique using materials that will be provided, at no charge.The day will begin with our guest speaker, Chris Lynd sharing her insights of the value that art and the arts bring to our community in bringing people together, providing an active creative outlet, and the positive impact they have on our overall quality of life.&nbsp; We will close with a &lsquo;Group Sharing&rsquo; of your experience of the day.
