In 2020 a group of women recognized the significant gap between the impact of COVID-19 on their professional careers vs. their male counterparts.  While seeking solutions, they discovered that COVID was not the cause, simply the catalyst to a longstanding trend in barriers for women to advancing professionally. The most startling realization was the frequency and intensity that women endure sexual harassment in the workplace and the barriers that are present to confront and stop it.  Thus, London Women's Professional Association was born, with the aim to create a suite of resources to close the gap, and offer programming to support businesses as they offer a new way of tackling sexual harassment; with workplace professionalism training programs.  Our fundraising efforts help bridge the gap between our Government funded programming and researching positions to ensure our employees are earning a living wage, while being competitive in the labour market. Our program team manages our Sexual Harassment Support fund which reduces the financial burden of pursuing a Sexual Harassment Claim and acts as a liaison with our various community partners to ensure the right resources are readily accessible.
