About this event

Workshop Description - How do we continue to dance as our bodies change? How do we nurture curiosity, navigate the challenges and surprises of growing older, and discover new possibilities for movement?
In this new workshop, Margie shares what she has learned about aging from people who inspire her, including her aunt Rhoda, who is almost 105. She invites us to explore what no longer works as it once did, alongside what may work even better: the energy behind a gesture, the joy of small, quality movements, and a deeper awareness of what is alive within us.
Aging is not a linear decline. Difficult moments can give way to improvement, renewed possibilities, and discovery. Through dance, this workshop invites us to let go of what we wish we could do and create with what we have, discovering the wonder of what lives within us and finds expression through us.
An invitation to meet the body as it is today and allow movement to emerge from that encounter.
This tier covers the true cost of the work and sustains the Foundation. To know more about tiered pricing (sliding scale), you can visit: https://www.somapsych.org/somapsych-tiered-pricing
