Walker School Activities

Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at Bruderheim Agricultural Society's Culture Day's event. We are holding a 32km River Run with entertainment, activities and food to follow at Walker School in Bruderheim. We will be embarking on the North Saskatchewan River at 10am sharp so we ask that those attending meet at the boat launch by 9:30am. The trip to Vinca bridge is approximately 32km and should take about 4hrs. We are considering hiring a bus depending on the number of registrants so stay posted for any changes to meeting times or places. After we get off the water there are many activities to join in at the historic Walker School in Bruderheim. We have a guest speaker who will be educating us on the fur trade and river settlements. We also have live music! There will be a fiddler and a bagpiper in attendance for you to enjoy. On top of that we have activities for the family like our Portage Obstacle Course, Trading Post Scavenger Hunt, Bead Bracelet making and a Celtic Knotwork craft! While the David Thompson Day River Run is free to attend, every registration to this event helps us plan on how many attendees we need to accommodate. If you choose to only participate in either the River Run, Walker School activities or both, please register with us.
