Comment structurer une séance de danse pour jeunes issus de la neurodiversité? Comment s’adapter à leurs besoins et capacités pour créer un espace où ils puissent s’épanouir?  Lors de cet atelier expérientiel, Émilie Barrette et Élysa Côté-Séguin présenteront des outils et exercices pour structurer une séance de danse adaptée pour des jeunes neurodivergents. En se basant sur leurs expériences professionnelles, Émilie et Élysa expliqueront comment l’enseignement des mouvements dansés peut se faire en fonction des aptitudes et forces de chacun, afin de permettre le développement d’une meilleure mobilité et conscience corporelle. Grâce à l’analyse approfondie, d’une semaine à l’autre, des profils de chaque élève, sur les plans sensoriel, comportemental et langagier, pour mieux comprendre leurs besoins et leurs préférences de mouvements, le duo offre aux jeunes un espace où apprendre de nouveaux mouvements, découvrir le rythme de la musique et explorer leurs émotions. Pendant l’atelier de formation, les participants pourront bouger avec une routine créée par Émilie et Élysa, basée sur le *Brain Dance* d’Ann Gilbert, ainsi que quelques exercices de danse adaptée, et apprendront comment organiser l’espace et l’horaire des séances, pour assurer le succès du programme.

La danse adaptée : danser avec la diversité

How can you structure a workshop for neurodiverse children? How can you adapt to their needs and skills to foster a space where they can blossom?     During this experiential workshop, Émilie Barrette and Élysa Côté-Séguin will present tools and exercises to structure an adapted dance session for neurodiverse children. Inspired by their professional experiences, Émilie and Élysa will explain how danced movements can be based on the abilities and strengths of each participant, thus allowing for the development of better mobility and body awareness. By constantly improving their awareness of the participants, on a sensorial, behavioural and language level, to better understand their needs and movement preferences, the duo offers children a space where they can learn new movements, discover the rhythm of the music and explore their emotions.   During this training workshop, participants will warm up with a sequence developed by Émilie and Élysa, based on Ann Gilbert’s Brain Dance, and will then engage in some adapted dance exercises, and will learn how to prepare the space and the class schedule to ensure the success of the program.
