Join us for opening night of the next exhibit in The Peck Visual Arts Program YWCA Series -Discovering Within. Discovering Within by EunMee KimDiscovering Within grew from my 100-day project, a series of small paper studies created with limited time, color, and tools. Working intuitively led to unexpected compositions and new relationships between shape and space.&nbsp;Returning to these studies, I began to discover new possibilities within works that had initially felt unresolved. &nbsp; &nbsp;Through changes in scale, color, material, and layering, these discoveries developed into new works and began to shape a new way of working. Discovering Within is about looking again, recognizing possibilities that might otherwise be overlooked, and giving them the opportunity to become something new.&nbsp;ARTIST BIOEunMee Kim is an abstract artist based in Edmonton, Canada. Working with layered acrylic paint, she creates compositions that balance organic movement with structured forms. Her work explores rhythm, tension, and flow through an intuitive process of layering and response. Her paintings often evoke landscapes or imagined spaces without referring to specific locations. Allowing each composition to unfold over time, she works between spontaneity and structure.
