Dreaming Climate Consciousness is a facilitated, process-oriented workshop where writers build a shared science fiction world together, then use it to explore the realities of climate change. Over five days, a small group of playwrights and creative writers will imagine a speculative future as a collective: its histories, its tensions, and its possibilities. Climate change will be at the center of that world. The focus is on process over product. There is time to sit with big questions, to disagree, and to build something none of you would have created alone. Participants also get a place to work through eco-anxiety with other writers, and to leave with new creative connections in the Victoria theatre community. Who it’s for Playwrights and creative writers who want to collaborate and who are curious about climate and science fiction themes.
