Experimentation of a large piece in 3D pencil.
Artist's note: Since 2020, I have been developing an experimental practice around 3D pencil, exploring the sculptural and graphic possibilities of PLA (polylactic acid). Through numerous trials, prototypes, and manipulations, I gradually develop a formal language based on accumulation, repetition of gesture, and proliferation of material.
In this trial, I was particularly interested in the ability of PLA to generate volume from a single continuous form. Through a work of superposition and densification of the line, the material takes on an organic and immersive scale, oscillating between artificial structure and natural growth. This approach highlights the properties that are both fragile and expansive of the material.
