DESCRIPTION

The Maison des Collines auction is organized as part of its benefit golf tournament, which will be held at Golf du Mont Cascades (915 chemin du Mont-des-Cascades, Cantley, QC, J8V 3B2) on Friday, August 7.

The Caisses Desjardins de l’Outaouais are acting as a partner of the benefit golf tournament auction by awarding a TFSA valued at $1,000.

PRIZE

Individual value: $1,000

The winner will receive:
• $1,000 in a Desjardins TFSA.

The TFSA contribution will be made by a Desjardins representative with the member’s consent, into a Desjardins account. A virtual, telephone, or in-person meeting must be scheduled so that the winner can receive their prize and choose the terms of their TFSA.

Note

The TFSA is a registered, advantageous, and flexible account. It allows you to accumulate money tax-free to achieve your goals throughout your life or to build an emergency fund. Since TFSA withdrawals are not taxable, your money remains accessible at all times, whenever you need it. Your contribution room represents the maximum amount you can contribute to your TFSA. In 2026, the TFSA contribution limit is $7,000, to which are added your withdrawals made in 2025 and your unused contribution room from previous years.

If you were 18 years of age or older in 2009, are a Canadian resident, and have never contributed to a TFSA, your total contribution room is $109,000 in 2026.

Anything not described above is not included in the prize and is the responsibility of the participant.

The winner will be solely responsible for any taxes that may result from the awarding of the prize, with the Organizer and the persons for whose benefit this contest is being held fully released from liability.

ELIGIBILITY

To receive the Desjardins prize, the winner must be of legal age in Quebec and must also be a member of a Desjardins caisse as of August 7, 2026.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To participate, eligible participants must, during the auction period, bid on the various prizes offered.

WINNERS

The winner of the Desjardins prize will be determined based on the highest bid at the Maison des Collines auction. The winner will be determined on August 7, 2026, in the presence of witnesses, at the benefit golf tournament to be held at Golf du Mont Cascades (915 chemin du Mont-des-Cascades, Cantley, QC, J8V 3B2).

The name and contact information of the winner of the Desjardins prize will be sent by the person responsible at Maison des Collines (Ms. Marie Joanisse) to the person responsible at Caisse Desjardins de Hull-Aylmer (Ms. Julie Dumoulin) no later than Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Desjardins will contact the winner no later than 7 days after receiving the winner’s contact information from La Maison des Collines.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. In order to be declared winners, the selected participants must:

a) be contacted by telephone by Desjardins and respond to our message within five (5) days following the date of contact, failing which the selected participant will lose their right to the prize. The prize will then be awarded to the next participant whose bid was the highest, and the same procedure will be followed until the winner has been designated.

b) confirm that they meet the eligibility conditions and the other requirements of these rules;

c) sign the declaration and release of liability form (hereinafter the “Declaration Form”), which will be sent to them by mail, email, fax, or in person, and return it to Desjardins within five (5) business days following the date of receipt.

Failure to comply with any of the conditions mentioned above or any other condition mentioned in these rules will result in the selected participants being disqualified and, at the Organizer’s discretion, the prize will be cancelled or a new award for this prize will be made in accordance with these participation rules until participants are selected and declared winners of these prizes. The same conditions will then remain applicable, with the necessary adjustments, where applicable.

1. Awarding of prizes. Within ten (10) days following receipt of the Declaration Forms, Desjardins will send a letter or email to the winner to inform them of the terms for taking possession of their prize. If the selected participants refuse to receive their prize, Desjardins will be released from any obligation regarding the awarding of these prizes and may, at its discretion, cancel these prizes or make a new award in the manner described in the preceding paragraph.
2. Verification. All entries and all Declaration Forms may be subject to verification by Desjardins. Those that are, as applicable, incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, fraudulent, submitted or transmitted late, containing an invalid telephone number, or otherwise non-compliant may be rejected and will not entitle the participant to the prize.
3. Disqualification. Any person participating in this auction or attempting to participate by means contrary to these rules and in a manner that is unfair to other participants (for example: computer hacking, use of a “voting group,” use of a nominee) will automatically be disqualified and may be referred to the appropriate judicial authorities.
4. Conduct of the auction. Any attempt to sabotage the legitimate conduct of the auction constitutes a violation of civil and criminal laws. If such attempts are made, the Organizer reserves the right to reject the participant’s entries and seek remedies under the law.
5. Acceptance of the prize. The prize must be accepted as described in these rules and may under no circumstances, in whole or in part, be transferred to another person, replaced by another prize, or exchanged for cash, subject to what the Organizer and Desjardins may decide at their sole discretion.
6. Limitation of liability. If Desjardins is unable to award the prizes as described in these rules, it reserves the right to award prizes of the same nature and equivalent value or, at its sole discretion, the value of the prizes indicated in these rules. In all cases, Desjardins may not be required to award more prizes or to award a prize otherwise than in accordance with these rules.
7. If any paragraph of these rules is declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable, or void by a court of competent jurisdiction, that paragraph will be considered null and void, but all other paragraphs that are not affected will be enforced to the extent permitted by law.
8. The auction is subject to all applicable laws.
