Step outside, make new connections and boost your mental well-being with a FREE Up and Running Pop-Up Walk for Women. Our mission is to enhance mental health through inclusive, nature-based walking and running programs in a supportive community. Health professionals increasingly recommend exercise and outdoor time for preventing and managing depression and anxiety. We understand that many people face barriers to getting active alone or in traditional programs. At Up and Running, we break down these barriers by offering a positive, non-judgmental space where everyone can feel safe and supported while connecting with others and prioritizing their mental health through physical activity. What to Expect with an Up and Running Pop-Up Event for WomenAt Up and Running, we believe in the power of moving in nature alongside others, focusing on the experience rather than the speed or distance. Our events are inclusive - everyone moves at their own pace and no one is left behind.  Experienced volunteers from Up and Running will lead the group along the Mill Pond Trail. Here are a few tips we have learned along the way:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Dress as if it is 10 degrees warmer than it is since you will be moving around and elevating your body heat.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Dress for the “feels like” temperatures since the humidex/ dew point can make it feel hotter/colder than it is.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Practice sun safety! Wear sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat!</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Stay hydrated! It never hurts to have a water bottle when the temperatures soar!</li></ul>Pop-Up events go rain or shine, with the exception of thunder and lightening storms or extreme weather conditions.
