PRESENTATION OF THE FESTIVAL 2025 The AfroMonde Digital Festival 2025 is an immersive and innovative celebration of Afro-diasporic culture, taking place from August 22 to 24, 2025, in the heart of the Old Port of Montreal. Under the theme &quot;Connected Heritages, Augmented Futures&quot;, the festival highlights the cultural richness of the African diaspora while integrating the latest digital technologies to reinvent the artistic experience and access to African culture for Montrealers and visiting tourists. We want to renew our festival after almost 20 years of existence to make it a new milestone in the knowledge and recognition of the diversity of African cultures present in Montreal. The digital aspect we are adding today will allow the local and international public through our digital interfaces to discover these talented artists. We also want to enable the public to create a bridge with the artists through digital means.This must-attend event will bring together artists and artisans from the African diaspora present in Montreal. It will spotlight Afro-descendant talents from Montreal working in the digital field. The festival will primarily take place on the Clock Tower Quays, where digital art will take its full dimension through interactive installations, light projections, and live performances. Like every year, we work with several members of the Montreal community who become partners in our project by encouraging exchange. We often engage more than 200 volunteers for the event who are committed to the visibility of African cultures present in Montreal. By adding a digital aspect, we continue our central goal of promoting today&#39;s African art which builds on its past but uses current technologies to create a dialogue with the world. We want to promote local artists from the Afro-descendant diaspora to raise awareness among the Montreal population about this often unrecognized diversity. This is our way of combating racism.
