Create your first compositions using a 19th-century photographic technique Discover cyanotype, a historic photographic process invented in 1842 that uses sunlight to create deep-blue images. This introductory workshop invites you to explore this accessible artistic technique and create your own unique artworks using plants, feathers, objects, and any other items with unusual shapes or translucent qualities. A fascinating blend of science and visual art, where the only limit is your imagination! During the activity, you will learn the fundamentals of cyanotype: preparing the solutions, composing an image, exposing it to UV light (natural or artificial, depending on the weather), rinsing, and revealing the final print.
