Let yourself be carried by the waves and the wind on a unique cruise through the heart of the St. Lawrence estuary, discovering a little-known and fascinating wildlife: pelagic seabirds, on board a covered boat! Accompanied by two seasoned ornithologists from the <a fr-original-style="" href="https://ootadoussac.ca/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Tadoussac bird Observatory&nbsp;(TBO)</a>, you will navigate in search of these great winged travelers, often elusive from land. Shearwaters, skuas, storm petrels... many rare species you will be able to observe in their natural habitat, offshore, where the salty water meets the endless sky. We will nevertheless take the time to talk about more common species, such as the Razorbill, Black-legged Kittiwake, or Red-necked Phalarope, as well as their adaptations and characteristics that make them just as exceptional. You will learn more about their migratory behaviors, the threats to their ecosystems, and the efforts in place to study and preserve them. An unforgettable excursion that combines the pleasure of a sea outing with a deep immersion in the wild world of the St. Lawrence. A rare opportunity to get closer to these emblematic and mysterious species. ***Please note that the temperature on the river rarely exceeds 10&deg;C, even in summer. Although the boat is partially covered, splashes are possible at any time. We recommend bringing warm and waterproof clothing.
