Flexibility Lab: Foundations &amp; Creative Flow4 hours of instruction across 2 days!&nbsp;May 23rd - 4pm - 6pm and May 24th, 5pm - 7pm This two-part workshop offers a grounded, thoughtful approach to flexibility and creation. Exploring the world of contortion without requiring advanced skills or flexibility, this workshop is for you, no matter whether you&#39;re an aerialist looking to feel more at home on the floor, or simply someone who loves to move and wants to stretch smarter. Part 1: Foundations - May 23rd, 4-6pm We&#39;ll start with the essentials: how to warm up properly, develop healthy stretching techniques, and work with the body rather than against it. We&#39;ll explore active flexibility drills, nerve glides, and the contortion mindset. This includes how to open the upper and mid back without over-relying on the lower spine, and how to open and strengthen the hips to achieve stable splits. We&#39;ll train a few foundational elements (scales, cobras, needles, bridges), then weave them into a short movement sequence. Part 2: Creative Flow - May 24th 5-7pm Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left off. After a warm-up, some flexibility drills, and a review of the movement sequence we put together at the end of Part 1, we&#39;ll shift our focus to creative exploration. We&#39;ll play with movement qualities, textures, and rhythms in order to create a musically accompanied interpretation of our movement sequence. The goal here is to explore how to elevate our performance or creative process using the language of contortion! Since then, Angie has performed internationally with acclaimed circus companies including Cirque du Soleil, Spiegelworld, Les 7 Doigts de la Main, Circus Monti, Schmidts Tivoli, Cirque &Eacute;loize, and Strut &amp; Fret.
