From Darkness to LightSunday, March 7, 2027 - 4:00 pmThe third concert of the Cellar Singer&#39;s season will include Eleanor Daley&#39;s Requiem as well as Ruth Watson Henderson&#39;s composition &quot;From Darkness to Light&quot;, two strong choral works by amazing Canadian composers. Daley&#39;s Requiem, sung a cappella is one of her best known works. The piece includes traditional Latin Requiem Mass text, as well as English language poetry, including the familiar poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye &quot;Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep&quot;. Watson&#39;s piece is similar in that it is comprised of Biblical passages and the poetry of Wilfred Watson (also Canadian, no relation). These two works &nbsp;are deeply reflective and moving.&nbsp;
