(We are too busy in our gardens July and August to make it to meetings.) Each meeting includes a presentation or demonstration on topics relevant to Okanagan gardeners. The Annual General Meeting is held at the October meeting. Of course, each meeting includes an opportunity to mingle and share gardening tips and suggestions with other members. Our fall meeting includes an opportunity to share in the harvest bounty. Other social events include road trips, member garden tours, a summer barbeque and Christmas party. Our annual plant sale serves as an opportunity to share plants from our own gardens with the community at large, provide other Lake Country residents with gardening tips and advice and raise funds to offer gardening education to the club and community. Our club is proud to support the Lake Country community! We have provided funding for benches and enhancements along local trails and in public parks. We participate in community beautification projects offering both sweat equity and gardening expertise. We donate to the Lake Country Art Gallery and our local community gardens to help spread the enjoyment of gardens throughout Lake Country. We participate in community events to promote the love of gardening and are always open to new opportunities to support the Lake Country community.
