Program Sponsor supports Hope for Dementia's most comprehensive program, which provides 100 seniors each year, a variety of activities in a group setting, keeping them mentally alert, while breaking social isolation, and having access to information on dementia risk reduction and prevention.
This sponsor contributes to Hope for Dementia's nutrition programs - Healthy Food Healthy Brain and Mindful Eating for Healthy Minds. These programs provide brain healthy food, educational material, cooking workshops and community lunches for 500 vulnerable seniors and their families each year.
This sponsorship supports Hope for Dementia's highly acclaimed Intergenerational Learning Program. In the past 5 years 100 youth have volunteered over 1,000 hours to more than 150 seniors, in a mutual learning experience. This program bridges the generation gap, making both youth and seniors feel valued while breaking social isolation that seniors often experience.
Sponsors choose to support one of Hope for Dementia's awareness, physical fitness, or music programs. These programs last 3 to 6 months. More than 100 seniors throughout Québec gain access to dementia prevention and risk reduction presentations, music and memory workshops and adapted physical activities such as chair yoga and tai chi.
