And the ESP32 chip on the Arduino platform now gives you the power to connect your devices wirelessly across the internet. Even if you don&rsquo;t know what a lot of those words mean, this could be the workshop for you! At this 2 hour session, we&rsquo;ll introduce you to the tools, software, and techniques necessary to get started exploring possibilities. Attendees will get help setting up their programming environment on their laptops, connecting to an Arduino/ESP32 board for the first time, and building a simple interaction between two devices across the internet. We will also discuss the broader Arduino ecosystem, and resources and strategies for building out more sophisticated projects. An Arduino/ESP32 board is provided for each attendee as part of the workshop fee. Attendees are encouraged to download and install the Arduino IDE, and compile (not upload) a basic sketch, to confirm that your computer has everything it needs to program Arduino.
