For ages 18 and up, our sabre course focuses on an introduction to 19th century military sabre. Starting from the basics of footwork and cuts, this course sets a foundation on which to build more sparring central skills. The curriculum is based primarily on sources like Hutton and Wait. For each of the 8 weeks new skills will be introduced until the final class where everything culminates in a sparring day so students can practice everything they&rsquo;ve learned. This course is set up to be accessible for beginners while still imparting new techniques and practice for those with some sabre experience.
