KIDS TOWN - Game Facilitators Program is a hands-on theatre and event-creation program where children learn how to develop an idea and turn it into a complete event or performance.Throughout the program, participants will work on:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Event structure and planning - how to build an event from beginning to end, including the opening, activities, transitions, performances, and closing.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Creating their own events - children will develop themes, ideas, games, activities, characters, and interactive elements for their own events.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Scriptwriting and storytelling - creating scenes, dialogues, short scripts, event scenarios, and performance concepts.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Theatre productions - rehearsing and presenting theatrical scenes, mini-productions, themed performances, and special events.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Game facilitation - learning how to explain rules, lead group games, engage an audience, manage transitions, and keep participants involved.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Stage and communication skills - public speaking, voice projection, pronunciation, improvisation, character work, and confident stage presence.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Roles and teamwork - learning how different roles work together during an event, including hosts, performers, facilitators, backstage helpers, and event organizers.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Real event preparation&nbsp;- participants will take part in planning and preparing ART LAB DCI themed events and performances during the year.</li></ul>The goal of Kids Town is not only to participate in activities, but to help children understand how events and performances are created, organized, rehearsed, and presented to an audience.📅 Tuesdays &amp; Fridays 🕠 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM 💰 $40/month 📍 ART LAB DCIThe monthly fee supports the development of the program and helps us purchase costumes, props, microphones, stage materials, and other equipment used by the Kids Town group.Spaces are limited.
