About this event

Kittens need lots of wet food! They eat half to one full can per day...each!

A small bag of kibble will last a few days. Very young kittens (and their mommas) eat Mother and Babycat formula, which is extra nourishing, before moving on to Kitten kibble.

A large bag of kibble can last 5-7 days, sometimes less as the kittens grow! As kittens get bigger, they transition from Mother and Babycat onto Kitten kibble.

We use the same pine pellet litter for our kittens as our adults in the shelter. It scoops easily, reduces odours, and is safe and healthy for cats.

We make sure babies are treated for infestations (once they meet weight/age requirements) every month to keep them and the kitties around them healthy.

Kittens receive a vaccination every 4 weeks until 16 weeks of age to build their defenses against FVRCP (upper respiratory viruses & distemper) and FeLV (leukemia).

Necessary for kitten digestive system every 2 weeks until 16 weeks, dewormer meds are dispensed by weight.

Kitties love spring toys! Toys provide stimulation and exercise.
