Salting is a practice in labour organizing where organizers find work within a particular company with the intention of mobilizing for better conditions through union power. This workshop will introduce the strategy and history of salting, while focusing on the practical work of building trust, identifying shared grievances, having organizing conversations, and mobilizing towards collective action. We&rsquo;ll also consider the risks and responsibilities involved in organizing at work, and how individual workplace struggles can become part of a broader labour movement.
