In a frantic and bloody adaptation of the misadventures of the cursed couple, Macbeth Muet deconstructs the Shakespearean work with visceral theater. Inspired by silent films, flirting with grand guignol and melodrama, this wordless adaptation of Macbeth humorously transports us into a frenzied race for power. Bodies, objects, and fake blood intermingle in a universe devoid of morality where human lives prove as ephemeral as disposable cups. In Macbeth Muet, Macbeth, a loyal soldier to his nation, encounters three witches on the battlefield who predict that he will be king. Following this revelation, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth choose the bloody path of ambition, betrayal, and power.
