Most clinicians have had some exposure to Motivational Interviewing (MI). Far fewer have had the opportunity to practice it in environments truly designed to support it. This session moves beyond individual skill-building to explore what it actually takes to embed MI into mental health services in a meaningful, sustainable way. We&rsquo;ll look at the common gap between training and practice, and why even well-trained teams struggle to consistently apply MI in real-world settings. From workflows and documentation to team culture and leadership expectations, this Lunch &amp; Learn will focus on the practical conditions needed to make MI &ldquo;stick.&rdquo; Join Sebastien Payan, global MI educator, and a person with lived experience of receiving mental health services, for a grounded, systems-focused conversation about the next evolution of MI: not just learning it, but building services where it can thrive.
