For some people forgetting is an act of survival, to ensure safety. For others, holding on to memories is an urgent way to understand oneself in this mad world.

A trip down memory lane? No, a fumble across the mess of archives (personal and otherwise). How Do You Remember? is an experimental offering that combines historical ‘facts’ and memoir through storytelling. Grounded in queer suburban life, How Do You Remember? interrogates the acts of remembering and forgetting. Moving across time, space, sanity and the body, this is an intimate invitation.

A raw, deeply relatable poetic storytelling act that takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, capturing the bittersweet reality of leaving home to start over in a new country.

The show dives into the untold struggles of the newcomer experience—from the initial high-stakes pressures and emotional goodbyes back home, through a chaotic international transit filled with unexpected hurdles, to the stark reality checks of landing in a foreign land. It is a story of resilience, navigating endless twists and turns, and finding humor in the middle of absolute madness.

Raw. Relatable. Heartbreakingly Funny. A powerful performance that echoes the laughter, silent tears, and chaotic victories of everyone who has ever packed their life into a suitcase to chase a dream.
