The series combines foundational handbuilding techniques with surface design methods to produce a unique, large-scale ceramic piece.Participants will learn to integrate slab building techniques with plaster hump moulds to construct the signature spherical body of the Moon Jar. This session covers the creation of the vessel&#39;s main form, including the addition of decorative rims and foot rings for structural and aesthetic enhancement.The second session focuses on surface embellishment through various decorative techniques. Participants will explore coloured slip application, carving and sculptural relief textures. The surface design session offers three intensity levels to support participants across the experience spectrum: Low intensity: Foundational decoration techniques for beginners. Moderate intensity: Intermediate approaches for developing skills. High intensity: Relief and sculptural surfaces for students looking to advance their skillset.&nbsp;All materials provided.
