Fullard Nature Reserve</a>. Together, we&rsquo;ll explore the fascinating world of night-time wildlife and identify some of the nocturnal flyers that call the reserve home. The event officially runs from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, but Mark will be on site beginning at 8:30 PM with a bat detector for anyone interested in arriving early. Once darkness falls, the focus will shift to attracting moths using a UV light setup located close to the parking area. Mark, a former biologist and now Assistant Park Superintendent at the Murphys Point/Rideau River cluster, has been mothing since 2015. From an initial list of just 56 species, he has now identified over 1100 species at the park, with nearly 35,000 observations added to iNaturalist. Always on a quest to learn more about the local environment, Mark is helping survey some of the RWLT&#39;s properties this year.
