In it, we will be hosting performers, and visual artists from a multitude of backgrounds in the Progress Lab studio in East Vancouver. This free event will celebrate Multiculturalism Day the best way we know how, by throwing a party for our community and showcasing some amazing artists. We are dedicated to facilitating original, Canadian work that tells the story of where we come from and where we are going by way of experimentation with languages and the theatrical form. Through our programming, we provide a platform for the creation, development and production of boundary-pushing theatre by BIPOC or otherwise marginalized theatre-makers, as well as support fellow artists with dramaturgy and mentorship. We produce a BIPOC-led mainstage production each year, host community events and support the development of new multilingual works through our DBLSPK program.
