Voice Strength Training – Stimulating and Playful Sessions to Train Your Voice and Enhance Communication! Voice Strength Training (MdlV) is an online workshop designed to stimulate voice and speech, and develop effective communication strategies. Facilitated by supervised speech therapy students and a professor of speech therapy, this workshop offers numerous benefits.  Participants in MdlV report feeling better supported in managing and improving their communication. Reported benefits include improved speech function and comfort, increased confidence in their ability to communicate, and a belief in their potential for improvement. MdlV also has positive effects on the well-being and positive emotions of participants, who report feelings of satisfaction, pride, enjoyment, and enthusiasm during the sessions. Who are the Voice Strength Training sessions for?<ul><li>Individuals living with Parkinson's disease and their caregivers.</li><li>Results from a survey on the outcomes of MdlV show that benefits are seen by participants who already experience symptoms affecting their speech, such as a loss of intelligibility (having to repeat themselves more often, group conversations becoming more challenging).</li><li>People who have previously received personalized speech therapy services find in MdlV a way to reinvest in the exercises recommended by their therapist and maintain their progress.</li><li>For those awaiting services, MdlV represents a great opportunity to better understand their symptoms and discover tips and tricks for improvement and regular speech practice.</li></ul> What is the content of these sessions? The sessions generally follow a similar logical organization: vocal warm-ups to gently awaken the voice are followed by gradually more complex vocal and speech exercises. Sometimes, elements of singing are incorporated, along with work on facial expressions. The materials selected by the facilitators aim to stimulate participants' curiosity and motivation while serving as a pretext to engage the muscles and movements involved in voice and speech production. The sessions are followed by a chat. These chats are designed to allow participants to apply the strategies developed in the sessions in a friendly space facilitated by communication facilitators. Often, discussion themes are suggested by participants and guide the exchanges. Voice Strength Training operates on a "Drop-in" principle, meaning it is not a progressive program with a beginning and an end but rather sessions that anyone can join at any time, at their preferred frequency, without the risk of losing track of the course. Musculation de la voix – des séances stimulantes et ludiques pour entrainer sa voix et mieux communiquer !   Musculation de la voix (MdlV) est un atelier offert en ligne qui vise à stimuler la voix et la parole, et développer des stratégies de communication efficaces. Cet atelier, animé par des étudiantes supervisées par des orthophonistes et une professeure en orthophonie, offre de nombreux bienfaits.  En effet, les participants et participantes de MdlV rapportent se sentir mieux soutenu.es pour gérer et améliorer leur communication. Parfois, des éléments de chant sont intégrés, ainsi qu’un travail sur les mimiques du visage. Le matériel sélectionné par les animatrices a pour objectif de stimuler la curiosité et la motivation des participant.es tout en servant de prétexte pour stimuler les muscles et les mouvements impliqués dans la production de la voix et de la parole.  Les séances sont suivies d’un moment jasette. Ces moments sont prévus pour permettre aux participants de réinvestir les stratégies développées dans les séances dans un espace convivial et encadré par des facilitatrices à la communication.
